Leslie Gleim
Life of the Land
Life of the Land tells the story of Earth’s evolution from a bird’s-eye view (aerial via helicopter), portraying her fiery birth, transformation, and cycles of renewal. It reflects on Earth's beginnings, adaptation, resilience, and regeneration, intertwining past and present to raise questions about the future. This work serves as a microcosmic metaphor for the entire planet. Amid the rapid degradation of the climate and humanity's reshaping of geological and cological systems, Life of the Land becomes an urgent, universal call to reconsider our role in Earth’s unfolding story.
