10 > Amalia Rompoulias

I’m a multi-disciplined artist focusing on papier mache and surrealist set design. I love papier mache because it allows me to recycle paper and cardboard and create a sculpture, prop, costume or background for my images. Sustainability has become important to me, especially in my line of work where the entertainment industry proves to be wasteful. I love saving and repurposing materials into a world that fits my imagination. I create all the processes from start to finish within my image. From brainstorming to conceptualizing, collaging ideas to create a rendering, fabricate, build, design, decorate, photograph, edit images, and create stop motion videos. I love the entire process of bringing my illusionary visions to a 3d set to photograph.
